Administration
The settings, maintenance, database size, support bundle and App cost pages are for Jira admins. They are in Jira settings > Apps > TuneCraft settings, in the rail's groups Access, Defaults, Tools and Running the app.
Settings
TuneCraft settings has these pages.
- App access: who may open the global view, and the project view. See Access.
- Plan and allowance (under Defaults): TuneCraft reads your plan's users and whether it is Free from Jira when a Jira admin opens the page. Jira does not tell apps which paid plan a site has, so pick Free, Standard, Premium or Enterprise. The page shows the steps a month the plan includes. If Jira's Usage tab shows a different number, type it in Steps a month shown in your Usage tab and TuneCraft uses it instead. The Overview compares your steps with this number.
- Apps on this site: the apps the site has.
- Email domains: your organisation's email domains, which Governance uses to judge the addresses a flow emails. Scan again after you change them.
- A page for each tool (Automation, Limits, Fields, Spaces, Schemes, Filters): the tool's Background checks (Turn on background checks, Turn off background checks) with each check's last pass, and the tool's own settings, such as how many months make a field stale, a space idle or a filter unused.
Background checks are off until a Jira admin turns them on. When they are on but no Jira admin opened the tool in 60 days, they wait, and opening the tool starts them again.
App cost
App cost shows what TuneCraft itself spends on your site. It has these parts.
- Jira API points: TuneCraft's points a day for the last 30 days (measured by TuneCraft's meter, which may differ from Jira's own count), split into page calls, background checks and work a person started, with requests, refusals for quota or bursts, near-limit answers and the longest wait Jira asked for. It downloads as CSV. Jira counts 1 point a request, 1 an object it returns, 2 for users, groups, roles and permissions, and only the request for a write. Jira's hourly pool is shared by every site that has TuneCraft.
- Budgets this hour: the points spent of the cap for background checks and for work a person starts. See Limits and troubleshooting.
- Background checks: each check and its last pass, in points (measured), and when the next is due.
Maintenance
TuneCraft removes what it no longer needs once a day. On Maintenance you can choose Run maintenance now; a confirmation says this cannot be undone. The page lists what it does and the last run, and says "not finished; the next run carries on" or "failed; the next run tries again" for any task that did not finish. Maintenance:
- keeps the last 24 scans and removes scans left unfinished for an hour;
- removes kept flows that no scan names any more;
- removes measured counts more than 90 days old for flows the last scan no longer has, and the same for run health;
- removes the record of owner notices sent more than a year ago (the Jira work items stay);
- removes Jira points a day counted more than 400 days ago, automation usage, alerts and Limits history older than 400 days;
- removes the record of changes older than 400 days, and each change's objects after 30 days;
- removes what a tool read of Jira's configuration once a Jira admin turned its background checks off;
- keeps only the last scan's record of what flows use.
Database size
Database size shows the tables and their sizes, largest first, against the space Forge gives TuneCraft on your site (1 GiB in production). A scan keeps flows without their texts only while the database uses less than a set share of that space. If it is above, the scan is saved without them and says so.
Support bundle
Support bundle collects diagnostics for Plugincraft support: TuneCraft's version, the licence state, the database tables and their sizes, and the last maintenance run. It holds no flows, names, account ids or site names. It is shown in full so you can read it before you send it. Use Download or Copy.
Help and What's new
Help explains each tool and the data it uses, and shows the version. What's new on the Welcome page lists the changes of each version.
